The Sturmwacht 2026 Dance Ball

To Lady Ethelred of Stormcoast,
my dearest friend,
With a heart all aflutter I write to you, for the Night of Fortune draws near once more at the stronghold of Sturmwacht, and my thoughts have long since begun to dance ahead of it. I can already see myself again in the fairest of my gowns, and the mask—ah, may it truly prove as steadfast as they claim, and guard me well against the treacherous fae! I dearly hope it shall be as protective as it is graceful.
Enclosed I send you the list of dances, as it was delivered to me, along with several instructions, that you might, should the mood take you, begin your practice in advance. The selection is of such exquisite refinement that it nearly makes me dizzy—and all the more does it delight me that this time even renowned foreign dance masters have been invited!
I have practiced the enchanting Dance of Lights with all due diligence, and yet I know that further dance trainings will be offered upon the spot. May the academic portion of the festivities grant me sufficient time to take part in them!
And yes—I confess it to you in confidence: I harbor the sweet wish to dance with the Prince himself! Yet now, with all the masks, it shall be no easy thing to recognize him.
I hope to see you there, in the glow of candlelight, hidden behind silk and velvet. Until then, I remain in joyful anticipation and gentle unrest.
In sincere anticipation,
your devoted
Lady Mirtha Iris, of and from Shipyards Bay
