Positions in the Team

Crow Mastery (Krähenmeisterei)

The Crow Mastery (Krähenmeisterei) is the central information point and the first point of contact on every player campsite meadow. It takes care of all the organisational tasks of a campsite meadow, works closely with the quarter management, the playmakers and the SL in role and ensures that all OC and IC issues are resolved. The Crow Mastery tent is a playable location and is actively involved in the game.

During the set-up phase, the focus is on organisation. The Crow Mastery ensures a smooth arrival, supports the allocation of tent pitches and works hand in hand with the quarter management on setting up and structuring the camp. They organise the materials required, deal with any problems that arise and ensure that everything is ready for the start of the game.

During the event, the focus is on supporting the game. The Crow Mastery works together with the Regie, playmakers, SL in role and NPCs to coordinate actions, accompany plots and promote the flow of the game on the field. It acts as an interface between the various factions and ensures that both small scenes and larger actions are harmoniously integrated into the overall story.

At the end of the event, the Krähenmeisterei takes care of the inspection of the campsites, the return of material and equipment and ensures that found objects are passed on. Their work is crucial to creating a well-organised, happy and lively meadow.

Quartermanagers

The quarter management organises and manages the campsites of a player camp. Together with the Krähenmeisterei, they are the organisational backbone of the campsite. The people who take on this position usually come from the group or camp organisation and already have experience in looking after groups of players.

Even before arrival, the quarter managers measure their meadow, draw the camp structure and plan the layout of the pitches. During the year, they support the players in their camp with the correct entry in the online tool and work closely with the Burgschneider event team to ensure a structured and functional camp layout.

During the arrival phase, the quarter managers welcome the arriving players, show them to their campsites and help them set up the camp areas. Newcomers in particular benefit from their support as they quickly find their feet and settle into camp life.

During the course of the event, the quarter managers are in close contact with the Krähenmeisterei and provide support with organisational tasks. At the end of the event, they take care of the inspection of the campsites and ensure that the camp is left tidy and clean.

IC-gamemaster (SL in Rolle)

The IC-gamemaster (=”SL in Rolle”) takes on tasks similar to those of the crow master, but with a stronger focus on plot support and content design. In this position, you are often responsible for a specific plot line or game mechanic.

During the set-up and dismantling phase, the IC-gamemasters  takes on organisational tasks in the Krähenmeisterei.

During the course of the event, the focus is on managing the plot: The IC-gamemasters works closely with the Regie, playmakers and NPC.
The position requires a good understanding of the game world, the ability to improvise and strong communication skills.

Playmaker

Playmakers support and promote the game. They act as a (plot) information hub between the player camps (or NPCs) and the crow mastery or Regie. They ensure a two-way flow of information and help to coordinate actions, plots and scenes.

The scope of their tasks is flexible and ranges from smaller roles, such as delivering messages, to the supervision of plots, similar to an Gamemaster. You can spread information within a camp or act as a link between the players and the Regie.

For optimal integration, we recommend 1 to 3 playmakers per camp or quarter.

It is important to note that playmakers who only take on this role and do not fulfil any other positions do not receive all the benefits of a full team member (such as free entry, food or a place to sleep).

NPC Crow Mastery (NSC Krähenmeisterei)

The NPC Crow Mastery is the central office of the NPC area and takes on a variety of organisational and support tasks to ensure the smooth running of the event, especially for the NPCs.

1. Management
The Krähenmeisterei is responsible for the planning and management of materials and equipment. This includes the organisation of material requirements, the distribution of arrows and bolts, and the management of radio equipment. It also takes care of information boards, shift schedules, procedures, supports the NPC check-in and organises other logistical details on site.
At the end of the event, the focus is on checking the campsite, collecting and returning material and securing and handing over found items and equipment.

2. NPC support
In co-operation with the responsible supervisors (Verantwortliche Betreuer, VB), NPC groups are accompanied by the Crowmasters during special events, Kids Town missions or special scenes. The organisation of NPC plot points, support for scenes and the accompaniment of special NPCs also fall within this area of responsibility.

3. Battlefield support
The Crowmasters are also present on the battlefield. They support the team members of the battlemasters by accompanying the action, reacting to problems and acting as gamemaster where necessary. They ensure that the NPCs can fulfil their tasks, are available as contacts and help to maintain immersion for everyone involved.

Responsible Supervisors (Verantwortlicher Betreuer (VB))

The responsible supervisors (Verantwortlicher Betreuer (VB)) are the central interface between the Regie and the NSC factions. Their main task is to inform, motivate and support the faction. They coordinate all important information and ensure that everything runs smoothly with the faction.

As VB you are the contact person for organisational and background-related questions of the faction. You will help to pass on information, collect feedback and prepare the group for events. At the same time, you will work closely with the Regie to coordinate plot developments and integrate the faction harmoniously into the world of Mythodea.

As VB of the major NPC factions, you will also be responsible for the faction’s missions during events, taking on tasks such as implementing the battle plan in collaboration with the battlemasters and ensuring that the NPCs can fulfil their roles to the full.

Anyone interested in this position should clarify this with the Regie in advance, as there are also tasks outside of the events that require time and commitment throughout the year.

NPC quarter managers

During the arrival phase, the NPC quarter managers are responsible for organising and looking after the NPC campsites. They support the NPC check-in, welcome the arriving NPCs and show them their assigned campsites. They help with measuring and marking the camp areas. Newcomers in particular receive support to help them quickly find their way around.

In addition to their main task during the arrival phase, the quarter managers support the NSC crow mastery with organisational tasks and help with the campsite inspection on the day of departure.

Battlemaster

The battlemaster is responsible for planning and organising the battles during the event. They ensure that each battle is dramaturgically appealing and runs smoothly.

The tasks include defining the objectives with the Regie, organising the water supply, paramedics and the implementation of scenes directly on the battlefield. The battlemasters works closely with the responsible supervisors (VB) and the NPC crow mastery.

As this is a position with a limited number of places, it is only possible to apply after prior consultation with the Regie. If you are interested in joining the team, we recommend that you also indicate an alternative position that could be considered.

Crew

The crew is responsible for the logistics and infrastructure of the event behind the scenes and ensures that everything is in place and functions smoothly. It forms the basis for the set-up and dismantling, as well as the processes during the event.

The crew’s tasks:

Logistics:
Transport of materials such as construction fencing, raffia mats or props, delivery of supplies and technology as well as support during set-up and dismantling.

Infrastructure:
Assisting with power and water supply, installing and setting up light poles or shower areas, as well as problem solving in the event of technical breakdowns and weather-related situations.

Organisation:
Maintaining material lists, organising logistics areas and coordinating processes in close cooperation with other teams.

The crew works with vehicles, tools and technical equipment and ensures that the needs of the participants, players and other teams are met. The position requires team spirit, flexibility and a certain amount of manual dexterity.

Set-up and dismantling team

The set-up and dismantling team is a mainstay of the event and ensures that everything is set up on time and dismantled again at the end. The members help us at least four full days before or after the event and can play an active role during the event phase.

Tasks include setting up scenery and infrastructure such as fences, light poles, tents and equipping the shower area. They are also responsible for transporting and distributing materials such as palisades, bast mats and supplies.
The team provides support with electricity, water and waste water supplies and helps to set up plot areas, team tents and general event areas.

At the end of the event, they take care of sorting, checking and returning the material.

Crafting Team

The crafting team is the creative workshop behind the scenes and ensures that the world of Mythodea looks lively and rich in detail.

Their tasks include the logistics and repair of props and plot objects as well as crafting and improvising when something is needed spontaneously. The team manages the inventory, adapts costumes and helps with make-up and dressing if required.

They also equip plot locations, design various boards and signs, and take care of the distribution of plot items and materials such as game coins.

Craftsmanship and artistic skills as well as creative problem-solving are an advantage.

Check-in and Car park

The check-in and car park team is on duty during the arrival phase from Sunday to Wednesday and ensures that all participants arrive safely.

Their tasks include ticket check-in, scanning and validating tickets and looking after the car parks. The car park team directs the arriving vehicles, ensures that the parking spaces are occupied in a structured manner and prevents illegal parking.

Catering

The catering team takes care of all the catering for our entire team – up to 600 people at times at ConQuest – and ensures that everyone is well fed during the set-up and dismantling phases as well as during the event.

The focus of the work is on preparing meals directly on site. The team plans and cooks the food itself, organises the storage and serves the food and drinks. With their work, they create the basis for everyone involved to be able to fulfil their tasks with strength and motivation.

Supermarket

The supermarket at ConQuest offers participants a practical opportunity to stock up on essentials directly on site.
As part of the supermarket team, you will run a small shop in a tent on a meadow for a week – a real adventure!

Your tasks will include typical activities such as cashiering, stocking shelves, accepting deliveries and organising the stock. You will also take care of any tasks that arise to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that customers can find everything they need.

Working in the supermarket team requires organisational skills, customer friendliness and enjoyment of working in a special setting.

Phototeam

The photo team captures the best moments of the event and ensures that the memories stay alive. Their tasks include taking photos during the event, post-processing the images and uploading the photos to our gallery during and immediately after the event.

The photo team only has a few slots, all of which are currently filled. Applications for the photo team are still possible. However, we recommend that you also apply for an alternative position.

Outroom

The Outroom is a psychosocial counselling centre on the ConQuest site that supports participants with OT issues. During the event, the team offers a safe space for discussions and helps with issues such as conflicts within the group, emotional overload or dealing with crossed boundaries in the game.
The team consists of professionals such as psychologists, addiction therapists and trainee psychotherapists who have experience in crisis intervention.

As this is a position with few places and certain requirements, applications are only possible after consultation with the Regie and the outroom manager. If you are interested, we recommend that you also indicate an alternative position in order to become part of the event team.

Kids-Town

The Kids Town team looks after our youngest participants with child-orientated plots, creative craft activities and lots of movement. Together, the Kids Town team ensures a safe, playful environment and designs a varied programme that offers the children an unforgettable experience.

Kids Town is an external additional programme. Therefore, a team application is only possible after consultation with the Kids Town management. If you are interested, we recommend that you also indicate an alternative position in order to become part of the event team.
